Sunday Stash: Fresh Edition

We went to my in laws on Saturday (they only live 20 minutes away) and as my daughter was taking a nap I looked on the internet to find out what time the local quilt store closed and found that another quilt store was having their opening!!!! I HAD to go. My MIL decided to come with me (she is NOT a sewer). I was so excited to find that this new quilt store, oh so close to my in laws, had an awesome selection.

I found so many lines that I had only seen on the internet and now saw them in person. When we walked in , Fresh by Deb Strain for Moda, was there in all its glory! I about died and my MIL laughed and told me she would buy it for me. Oh, I love her.

Sunday Stash Fresh Edition

It is so bright and cheery in person. The only bad side to this line is that the Tulips are not my style at all and in my opinion do not fit in well with the rest of the line. So don't expect to see the tulips......

a present from my MIL

This is definitely my new favorite line. I agree the tulips do not go with it at all! Great pics, too.

{and then make my grandmother something with the ugly tulips. she'll love them. lol.}

I am keeping them in my stash until my WIP's are all done and then who knows. I always end up making quilts, so i bet they will end up in one.

the stash is so lovely!! i agree, with the tulips, a bit old fashioned for my taste!! when i first saw them, it turned me off to the line, but really all the other prints are very lovely!! it's funny to hear i'm not the only one not liking them, and in real life I LOVE tulips, they just needed a newer, modern print of them?? if there is a way to do that, i'm not a designer, so who knows. :)

Hadn't heard of you before, but after Quilting Dad mentioned you today, I thought I'd check you out. Sure enough, your site is cool, so I'm adding you to my google reader account that already has too many quilting blogs!! Love your stuff!!!

am i crazy or am i just not seeing the tulips? i see the front fabric you have out, but it looks more like a different kind of flower than a tulip. what am i missing?

That is a beautiful set of fabric, and even more wonderful of your MIL to buy it for you. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
