Working on a WIP

Finally after months and months of having this quilt stare at me everyday on my "work table" aka my kitchen table, I finally couldn't take it anymore.

Free Motion quilting

I am doing free motion quilting within each of the squares so it is coming along really fast. Free motion is sooooo fast compared to following a pattern for quilting. I quilted this quilt in a couple of hours! This picture I accidentally got my feet in the picture and I thought it was so funny.

accidental feet

Then when I took a little break I came back to this on my quilt....

a present from my daughter

Isn't my 2 1/2 year old so funny???? My husband was so proud of her. Hopefully I can get the binding on this weekend but we will see if I have time.

At least the lizard had a pretty home from a little bit!

What machine do you sew with? It looks a lot like mine

I sew on a RICCAR it is around 18 years old more. I inherited it from my mom. It is a great machine.

That's a really lovely quilt - as for the lizard it took me ages to see what it was - it was really well camoflaged (either that or my eyesight is really not good!)

What a beautiful quilt, I think daddy might have helped with that little trick!!

There is actually a group on Flickr that is dedicated to pictures of quilts with feet in them just like yours! You must go find it and add your pic! The quilt is lovely, thanks for sharing.

Love the quilt. Do you know there is a flickr group for pictures from quilts with the feet of the owner on it too. This pic would fit the purpose perfectly. If you can't find it I will be happy to help you with the link!

Hey, is that an old singer machine I spotted? It looks like a 301 I just bought.
