Fabric Bucket

I finally figured out what I wanted to make Jeni, the winner of the Grand Opening Giveaway. She told me she wanted the Flea Market Fancy fabrics and I went through her favorites on flickr.  I wanted to get sewing right away so I noticed the neighbors were home so we went to see if Kailey could play. I installed the girls outside with some play dough. Awesome, now I could concentrate on sewing.

Jeni had tons of different baskets in her favorites and I have been wanting to make one. This is what I came up with.

Fabric Bucket

It is rather large around 12" tall. I will be doing a tutorial so that you can all make your own next week!

Fabric Bucket - Tutorial coming next week.

You can use it for whatever you want but it sure is a cute way to hold your scraps or fabric.

Make sure you come back next week for my tutorial. This will be a great gift idea for Christmas, don't you think?

I love the colorful, bright fabrics you used! I made a version of this basket for my plushie monsters, but I considered it as nest;-) I called the plushies Tattletales and embroidered, "Reid (or whatever the child's name is) Did It" on the front on the monster. Someone has to tattle of those sweet innocent little people, right? I needed a nest for the beasts so I made one of these in a six or eight inch high version. You can see the monsters in their baskets here: http://athomebythebaye.blogspot.com/2010/04/my-version-of-john-murphys-monster.html

There are so many ways to use these things! Now I'll have to make some for the sewing room, too.
