She really didn't want to get her picture taken as you can see from the photo. She is telling me that she wants to dance in her new shirt.

Since I could not find the pattern in a smaller size to fit Penelope I had to figure it out on my own. I just trimmed off some of each of the pattern so make her smaller and luckily it all worked perfectly.

The other thing on my list to make was a Birthday hat since it is Penelope's birthday this weekend. I made the same hat for Gweniveve almost 2 years ago for her birthday but the tutorial I used did not tell me what size to cut the hat so if you remember the hat ended up being rather large. I figured out this time around what size, but of course I made the letter rather large. I really have a hard time with hats. I am deciding if I should take the P off and make it smaller or if I really care???

I still have alot to do to get ready for this weekend. Like I mentioned we are getting our family pictures taken since I finally have my braces off and I convinced my husband to get some taken ( he HATES getting his picture taken ). Then I have to clean the house and make a Foofa cake for Penelope's birthday. We are just having family over but we are having the theme of Yo Gabba Gabba since she just loves the show. It should be a fun but busy weekend.

yay for having your braces taken off! it's a great feeling, isn't it?
Such pretty tops for your girls - those fabrics are divine! Okay, since I come from Downunder - what's a Foofa cake? Ann :-)
Can't wait to see your family picture. The shirts look adorable. The great thing about making clothes is you DON'T have to follow the pattern...in fact, you don't even have to use a pattern....or you can mix and match patterns. I'm famous for the later. Sometimes I don't like the sleeve on one dress so I use a sleeve pattern for another dress. It's fun to do your own thing. I love sewing.
P.S. I kind of like the extra large "P" on the hat.
