Going on a fabric hiatus

One last stop at the store because I just wanted to see if they had It's a Hoot by Moda. I have been dying to see it in person. Well they had it sooooo......

Fabric overload

I know terrible. I need to hide my money so I can't spend it or I just need to stay away from the stores.

New fabrics

I have to stop. Seriously. I want and need to spend the money on fixing up the new house. I am thinking quilt stores are the devil. They need to stop beckoning me to come inside. Because seriously I really really want to have the money to paint, buy new light fixtures, furniture, my sewing room has nothing so far I will be sewing on the floor, and all that fun stuff to make a house a home.

Wow I really wish we were neighbors cuz I have LOTS of fabric I could swap with you for more fabric or some sewn goodies;) I have those AB Daisy chain plus more and I got them when I had morning sickness when I bought them so I can't stand to look at them anymore:( Let alone actually sew something with them! Good luck on the hiatus! I am totally agreeing with fabric stores being the devil;)

Well, if this is your "last fabric meal" before you go on hiatus, you sure picked out some good ones! I love them all!

Ugh, it's so HARD (said in a completely whiny voice). I dropped money on more yarn today for my granny squares. Oops.

It's "not for the birds" giving up fabric that is! Tough love!! I have the same problem. These designers need to slow down on their creativity right?!!

Join the fabric diet! We'll say you cheated this week and will get back on track next week. Lovely selection though!

Hi Darci! I clicked on some site and saw pictures of quilts on Flickr, so I clicked on them and one thing led to another and an HOUR later I found a picture of your Christmas tree quilt - it's fab-U-las!!! Did you use a pattern? Is it your pattern? Do you sell it? I'd love to make one!! In fact, in my next life I'd love to make everything you've made - I certainly don't have time in THIS life even though I try! So, so fun to find your blog and see everything you do - and with kids, too! Thanks, now that I found you I'll be back! xo, Nan

Well at least this podunk town doesn't have quilt shops anymore! Online shopping is bad enough. So hard to resist the pretties even though I have a HUGE stash.

Good luck with your fabric hiatus - you'll have to tell me how hiding your money works out because I totally need to try that too! :)

I agree, quilt shops do me in too. I just wish I had a shop near me with such lovely fabric! I've decided that swapping is the way to fill the desire for new fabric with only paying the cost of shipping! Good luck.

I think we could start “Fabric Anonymous" with all the ladies who have this addiction. It's truly an addiction! So hard to shop (oh, I mean stop!)...Let me know when you want to start the group!

I always grumble that I can't get Moda or Heather Ross or Kokka or anything decent on the bolt - I have to buy off the internet... but maybe it is better for me!
