This year I actually made a New Years Resolution for the very first time. To finish all of my WIPs before I start anything new.
Yesterday I started working on my Bowtie quilt which is a Cal King that will go on my bed. I made 2 of them and I am going to try to make 2 of them everyday.
I am going to finish WIP and not go to the LQS. I haven't gone since October but I always go on New Years Day, I received a gift certificate. I did my bucket list and I am booked solid until end of 2012.
Gorgeous Bow Tie quilt & aren't you disciplined to do that! I would love to say that I won't start something new until WIPs are finished but I just know that I have a birthday quilt to make and so many other bits I want to do...............!
Using up the stash as much as possible this year! My current plan is to alternate WIPs with new projects. Looking forward to seeing more of those stars on green - that's a wonderful WIP!
Sort of....I didn't really sew anything last year so I thought that I should start this year by making last year's projects. Then I can start this year's projects and then everyone's been talking scraps so I kinda wanna make stuff with that too and...I need a little rest...and some chocolate...
I sort of made the same resolution, but there are already two quilts on my list that I want to start right now! It doesn't count if it's for a gift, right? And since we just bought a king size bed I can make a new king size quilt before I finish the queen one I have ready to quilt, right? So sad that I'm already making justifications...
Great resolution, Darci. Your bowties are lovely! It will be beautiful on your bed. I could never finish all of my WIP/UFOs there are just too many of them. But I do hope to get them under control this year!
Good luck with your WIPS! I signed up to the Finish Along that Rhonda, over at Quilter In The Gap, is hosting, that way I'm accountable for my stack of UFOs (well, for this year, I'll no doubt have generated a few more by next year ;o) )
I have made a lot. I have 4 quilt projects to finish and I'm going to try and use the fabric I have, I'm having a hard time with this one. Love that green background from the stars quilt.
That's a great resolution, Darci. I din't make any myself this year but I think I should I do like your idea of finishing up all WIPs first. You got me thinking.
Very sensible resolution and you'll feel FAB when you meet it!=)
I don't really do resolutions either, more goals for the year, but I haven't done my annual 'review of last year and look ahead to this' on my blog yet. I suppose I should....
i am loving it! i'm trying to finish a WIP for each new project I start. Not nearly as ambitious as you! Making pillows for tangerine tango to match the one you made me! woo hoo!

Yummy colours! My resolutions are pretty much the same as yours. I have a huge pile of started projects that need to be finished projects!
Me too trying to finish lots of UFOs and WIPS but cannot not start new stuff just trying to finish more than I start!

Was going to ask what this was but am now guessing "works in progress".
Great goal.
