Infinity Scarf or Figure 8 Scarf

I was getting alittle depressed thinking that it was my birthday coming up. I really hate getting older. I know it is dumb but I can't help it. Age scares me. Anywho I decided to go to a LQS to use up my 30% off they give for your birthday and bought some fabrics. This made me finally give in to the expensive Voile fabric to make myself the Infinity Scarf.

30% off at my LQS for my bday week

I used Anna Marie Horner's tutorial but I didn't use Velveteen or flannel like alot of people do. I used both Voile on both sides.

Making an Infinity Scarf today

I was going for a accessory piece and not really something to keep me warm. I love the colors and the fabric is so soft and light. It really came out perfect and I love it. I might try to make one smaller next time but I love that this one is big and makes a statement.

Infinity Scarf

I am 32 today and it is somewhat depressing. Couldn't I have stayed in my 20's for the rest of my life?!?!?! Oh well. Atleast I have a really great scarf to wear today to make me feel better. That and also getting to go to one of my favorite resturants Benihana's.

me.

Girl, you're young and thin and cute and talented -- and you seem quite sweet but I can't say for sure since I don't know you. That is all.

Oh my, the birthday blues! You are still so young and vibrant - celebrate what you have achieved, open a bottle of champange and put on some gorgeous shoes to dance the night away.

Over here we count a little bit different: 29, 29a, 29b, 29c....
And we say: the best ten years are the years between 29 and 30!!!
Enjoy your life!!!

Happy Birthday Darci! Don't let the age thing scare you. We all get better with age. I love that scarf. I need one for myself. Enjoy Benihana, we love that place too!

Happy Birthday! I have to tell you, my birthday is today too and I am hitting the upper limit of my 20s. I think we are both being silly, but I feel a bit of the blues myself. Some part of me is glad I am not alone in it!

The scarf looks great and so do you!

Happy Birthday - you certainly look like you are still in your 20s so worry not!

We all feel younger inside and it is all lies on the outside - well that's what I think!

The scarf looks great!

Cute scarf...can't wait to see the smaller one.
You're a day older than me...and I also hope to make something for myself :) [and my girls...matching skirts]
Hope your whole day was great!
Oh, and I like your blog banner. I follow through GFC and hadn't seen it in a while.

Happy birthday Darci!
I turn 33 next week and I have to say I found 32 a tough one to swallow but now with 33 rearing it's ugly head I think I may just start counting backwards!
:)
Have a great day!

Happy Birthday, Darci. Love your scarf, it must be so soft. And we're the same age...for a few months at least, until I turn the dreaded 33! Enjoy your dinner.

A Belated Happy Birthday... just a young 32?? My dear, you are just a baby to this 'ah-hem' Nana of six! My oldest daughter will be 32 this year! Celebrate your age and all you are and have accomplished! Love your scarf, and what am I missing with AMH's tutorial?? Are there any specific measurements? I keep reading thru and can't seem to find another blog post to specific measurements...
thanks!

Happy [very] belated birthday :)
Your scarf is pretty! I just ordered some voile this morning, I totally don't have anything so wonderful at my LQS.
You are a gorgeous woman! I know the number is hard to forget about, 32 will be coming for me in March. But - when I was 29, a good friend of mine passed away (cancer) and the thought of her not being able to reach 30...it's heartbreaking. Birthdays really are a gift. Even when you have to start counting backwards.

I'm just catching up on my blog reading, so I'm a bit late with this, but Happy Birthday! And we are so close in age! I turned 32 on January 8th...we're only 16 days apart!

I totally hear you about the age thing...32 is somehow scarier than 31. Especially for me, since I haven't met my guy and started a family yet. I feel like time is running out. So consider yourself lucky to have such lovely girls. :) When we celebrate our 62 birthdays, I'm sure we'll be wishing we were 32 again!
