I have finally finished this quilt. I first started it a year and a half ago,
remember this post? I wanted to make a quilt with some of my favorite fabrics Flea Market Fancy, Katie Jump Rope & the ladybugs from Flutterby. Sometimes making a simple patchwork quilt is called for and I really thought it would make this quilt perfect. I cut the squares at 4.5" so they are finished at 4".

The quilt is 58" x 78" and I quilted it in wavy lines around 2" apart. I am actually really in love with the back of this quilt. I had initially made the top super long without realizing it and once I did I unpicked a row of blocks and used them for the back of the quilt along with the blue and orange geranium print from Kaite Jump Rope. I love the back.

Then I bound it in the green tiles print from Flea Market Fancy since green is my favorite color!

I love so many things about this quilt and I am very happy that I used my hoarded fabric yet again in a quilt. I am really on a roll with using up my favorite fabrics.

Here's to finishing a quilt that has been sitting in my sewing room for a LONG time :) It feels so good to get this one done and not sitting starring at me to get it done.

LOVE it Darci! :)
Gorgeous. Love that you put some of the same patchwork on the back.
I love simple patchwork quilts! Feels good to dig into the stash and also finish something! Good job! Looks like a cozy one!
I really love your wonderful patchwork. Sometimes a simple patchwork is the only way to go.
Wow! It's beautiful! I love the squares of white to set off all the gorgeous colour. I do so love Katie Jump Rope, way more than Flea Market Fancy. I wonder if they'll do a reprint of that?
Very awesome!congrats on another great finish.
Lovely! Yep, simple squares just do it!
It really is utterly gorgeous and I couldn't agree more that sometimes the simplest designs are the best.
It simply a beautiful quilt. So bright and happy :)
Love, love, love! Your quilts are inspiring.
Last week I finished my own mini-wonky star made from Summersault by Erin Mc. It makes me smile =)
Oh Darci! Its so pretty!!!
That's just fabulous, Darci! And so much better than sitting in a stack in the fabric cabinet.
Here's to cutting up our good stuff!
Well done - it looks such a happy quilt!
It's gorgeous!! I love it! Now I will need to do a simple patchwork with my KJR and FMF fabrics!
Hooray for simple patchwork! This is fantastic.
Love how bright and cheery it is :o)
I love this quilt. It is so bright and fresh looking.
This quilt just looks so perfect for the warm weather and summer! I bet it'll be wonderful when the cold comes back to. The back is just as fun as the front. You did a really great job!
Gorgeous! I am fairly new to quilting and wasn't sure if I liked the look of scrappy quilts but I love yours! I think making the squares larger is nice -- doesn't confuse the eye as much. This turned out very nice! Thanks for sharing with us!
