I bought these prints and that day I wanted to try them out since black ( in quilting, not my house since most of my furniture is black) is not my style but Amy (another Amy there are a ton of them in the sewing world) started using them and I loved what she was doing with them. I always thought black fabric was for the "grandma" quilters but lately I have changed my mind since people have been using it in a modern way that just makes it sing! I think I am converted.

Once I made that block I knew I wanted to make it into a pillow for Erin. She loves scrappy and we have the same taste in fabric so it was easy to go into my stash and find fabrics for her. I made her a large pillow 22"x 22" since I have heard her say many times how she loves large pillows. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIN!!!! I didn't take a picture of everything I sent her but Erin did.

I had started making Amy's pillow a little while back and gave her a little sneak peek of it...

I took a break from it since my husband was off of work for a week & a half and we had a little vacation. (We stayed home but we went to the beach, Disneyland and lots of swimming in our pool.) I got the pillow all finished the other day and decided that another one is in the works since I LOVE it. Amy is very lucky I didn't keep it. Spiderwebs are not fast & easy!

I know Amy loved Amy Butler as much as I do and so I used the Sunspots from her LOVE line for the back and binding. I really need to buy more of them I love the Sunspots, remember this picture?

Last but not least was the pillow that I made for me!

I love it and it looks so awesome on my living room couch which I didn't take a picture of it but I do have a picture of the room so you can see how great it would look :) All the Art was painted by my amazing MOM! She is the best.

I had so much fun making these pillows. I just love making pillows for some reason they make me super happy. I even love sewing on zippers!
