Last Minute

I decided yesterday, last minute, to make a pillow for my Mom.

I made it to go with this quilt that I made her a long time ago. I used Moda's Recess line which was perfect for my Mom.

I also sewed up a new camera strap since mine was getting old and I was tired of it anyway.

I wanted something new and fresh since I will be using my camera tons over the next 2 weeks since we will be on vacation visiting family and friends.

Now I am off to packing and getting the house all clean!

Camera Straps

I own a gorgeous camera that I would never want to part with! When I bought my camera I wanted to make it extra sparkly and made this strap for it:

That was almost a year ago. Since then I have bought a new (awesome) lens for my camera and need to make myself a new strap especially since I know all about designer fabric, a year ago I didn't.

Then I was asked by some friends to make their cameras sparkle!!! Here are some of the straps that I have made, so far. (I still have 2 more to make including a new one for me)

This one I made for my good friend Sara to sparkle up her Nikon, I love the black and white.

This yummy Heather Bailey scrappy strap is for Susan of Chickenfoot fame. I can't wait to see it on her camera.

This pink and green scrappy strap is for my neighbor. It was fun to have her come over and look through my stash and pick out the fabrics she wanted. She kept telling me I have tons of fabrics and I said you should see all the people I *know* online, THEY have tons!!!

Now I am waiting for a couple more straps in the mail so that I can sparkle them up!

Camera Strap.

My first project was making a camera strap for my new prized possession. My friend Erin had made one for her camera and it gave me the idea. I just had some changes to make from hers for what I wanted. I LOVED the print that I found, it is so me.

I sewed the material into a tube and then pulled it over my camera strap that came with the camera and then sewed it down at the ends and along each side with a big stitch so that it would look the way I wanted it to.

This is what it looked like at the end. This is my new best friend :)

I think I will have to make alot of these for all of my moods and maybe for some friends.
