Fruitilicious Quilt

I am all done with this quilt and I really want to keep it!!!! I finished a couple of days ago but have been waiting to get pictures since it is rainy and overcast here but the weatherman said it would be that way for another week so I went outside while it was sprinkling to get some pictures. Sorry that the colors are the not the best since it is overcast but oh well.

Fruitilicious Quilt

This quilt is crib size 36" x 53". You can see that I did add some white stripes on the side to make it wider and made it a little shorter and I am very glad that I did.

Folded

The back fabric is my new favorite (hence me buying 6 yards of it). I got it at JoAnn's and just LOVE IT!!!

I am putting together the top from one of my quilting bees blocks and I am going to use it on the back of that quilt too. I will finish that quilt and post it soon.

Fruitilicious Top Done!

Well this top came together really nicely and I had alot of time to sew yesterday as my girls took really long naps. Today has been a lazy day for all of us since we went to Disneyland last night and had a blast, so I was able to finish the top.

Fruitilicious Quilt Top

I made this Fruitilicious Quilt ( since I used apples in the quilt and then lemons for the borders) for my friend Lanay for her to use in her photography so we needed it to be really colorful and gender neutral so that is why I added the lemon print border instead of using the traditional white border. She wanted it crib size which is 34" x 52" but it turned out to be 34" x 59" so I need to decide if I should trim some off the bottom or add a strip of white on the outside of the stacked coins and then fix the border so it is wider or just leave it long??????

Decisions decisions.......
